OUR FOUNDER

Founder, Danny O. Ratliff,  began Ratliff Masonry, Inc. in 1984 as a masonry contractor, primarily performing masonry construction for buildings and residential homes throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  In the mid 80’s, Mr. Ratliff collaborated with Acme brick as the original installer of the brick thinwall system to meet the demands for residential and commercial developers.

Mr. Ratliff always had a passion for aviation and started flight training in the late 80’s.  While laying brick during the daytime, Ratliff flew 737 aircrafts for Southwest Airlines.  In 1994, Ratliff was promoted to Captain and served 26 years with the prominent commercial airliner.  In June 2016, Captain Ratliff retired as a commercial pilot.

Mr. Ratliff rebranded his masonry business in 2003 to Ratliff Hardscape.  His purpose for this transition was to promote various hardscape services, including concrete and masonry.  From the humble beginnings of constructing mailboxes and fireplaces to make ends meet, Ratliff has expanded its businesses into multiple diversified services.  Our dedication serves as the testament to our long-lasting success.  In 2012, Danny sold his interest of Ratliff Hardscape, but continues to provide mentorship and guidance with his 35 years of expertise.

Today, Danny is the Chief Executive Officer of Caprock Hardscape Supply, a retail stone and hardscape product store, and Quality Stone Quarries, a natural stone quarry.  To learn more about Mr. Ratliff’s other business ventures, please select the companies below.
